You missed the point

The point is that American society puts down videogames, cartoons, cosplaying, etc. and says that they are childish, while wild, crazy, stupid partying is considered a grown up thing to do.

As a friend said: 

“America is obsessed with telling its citizens that video games, RPGs, painting models, etc are all “juvenile” or childish and yet we spend most of our time masturbating to reality television. The average American is an ego-maniacal sub-human slave. I’ll take being a “child” over that any day. “
